Description
During this course students will learn to recognize and integrate the issues of gender, class, ethnicity and race into disaster management planning.
The learning outcomes for the module are as follows:
- Understanding of the social nature of natural hazards and disasters.
- Knowledge of the social factors affecting disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
